CHOOSING SCENE CLIPS and CREATING YOUR DEMO REEL

Audition for and performing in student and Indie short films are a terrific way to practice auditioning and collect new scenes for your media library and demo reel.

Choose scenes where you are featured in the speaking role.

Add new scene to your media library as soon as they become available. Check with your agent (if you have one) to see if it should be you tracking down new materials or if it they will do it for you.

On-Camera edited demo reels should rarely be longer than 3-5 minutes.

Break down your existing demo reel (if you have one) into individual scenes clips (comedic, dramatic) or separate into show appearances so that your agent or Casting Directors can view and share the most relevant scenes for the project you are being considered for.
