What is a Casting Notice (Unverified Posting)?
Casting Notices are posted by a member we have not verified. Verified members are identified with a green verification check mark beside their name.
Unlike the privately-controlled open breakdowns posted on Casting Workbook, any job titles bearing a red flag beside the submit button, or flagged as a casting notice, have been posted by members who have not provided reference letters from the industry in order to qualify for access, and they are not known to Casting Workbook. (Tips to Protect Yourself)
Accordingly, we strongly suggest that you use your discretion when applying for these jobs and do your own diligence in order to verify the accuracy and reliability of the information. We also suggest actors do not attend potential auditions alone, and to let someone know his or her whereabouts and the address of the audition. Minors under the age of 18 should not apply or submit themselves without the permission of a parent or guardian.
We hope and expect that the information posted on our casting notices is legitimate and is information of which actors can avail themselves. However, as we have not vetted the posters or the material being posted, we cannot fully verify the legitimacy of the information posted under flagged casting notices.
Casting Workbook Services and Casting Workbook, inc.
